Microsoft has signed an important agreement with Lambda, one of America's leading cloud computing companies, in the field of artificial intelligence infrastructure. This strategic partnership will further strengthen the tech giant's investments in artificial intelligence.
Lambda announced that it has made a multibillion-dollar agreement to deploy thousands of Nvidia GPUs in its Nvidia-supported artificial intelligence infrastructure. Lambda CEO Stephen Balaban emphasized the importance of the agreement by stating, "We have been working with Microsoft for over eight years, and this is a historic milestone in our partnership."
Founded before the current artificial intelligence boom in 2012, AI infrastructure company Lambda has raised $1.7 billion in venture capital. Such companies are seeing strong demand as businesses continue to invest in artificial intelligence infrastructure and knowledge.
This announcement comes just hours after Microsoft announced a $9.7 billion deal with Australian data center company IREN for artificial intelligence cloud capacity. On the same day, OpenAI also announced that it had signed a $38 billion agreement with Amazon to purchase cloud services over the next seven years.
