New prediction market startup Melee will launch its platform called "Viral Markets". Among crypto-focused companies, Melee is observing the success of digital asset betting platforms such as Polymarket, which is growing in popularity in this space.
However, other innovative projects are also coming to the fore, such as Forecast Markets, a type of dated futures launched on Cleaemmatics's Autonity blockchain. Melee allows anyone to easily create a market, and predicts that prediction markets will evolve with the internet. "We don't see prediction markets as a winner-take-all space; like social networks, we see it as a new category where there can be many winners," Variant said in a statement.
