Washington D.C. - Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) continues to be one of Congress's most active investors. According to her latest trading report, Greene purchased six stocks and one ETF in October, drawing the attention of individual investors.
Greene's recent purchases include the following assets:
Most of the stocks she purchased were acquired before quarterly earnings reports; Tesla is set to report earnings on October 22, UPS on October 28, Amazon on October 30, and Exelon on November 4.
The stocks listed in Greene's purchases have been acquired previously during this year, particularly Adobe and iShares Bitcoin Trust which she purchased last month. Adobe and UPS frequently appear in her purchase notifications, while Tesla shares were bought in five months this year.
Greene had not disclosed her stock purchases before 2024, but made a few acquisitions in May 2024. Following these disclosures, there has been at least one purchase notification each month starting from 2025.
However, as noted earlier, some of Greene's transactions draw attention due to their timing and her committee assignments. She is one of the Congress members who purchased Bitcoin ETFs in 2025. One acquisition occurred just before President Donald Trump announced the Bitcoin Strategic Reserve.
Greene denied having any information beyond publicly available data and stated that all her purchases were made in accordance with public information. She expressed that the criticisms regarding the timing of some of her purchases earlier this year were unfounded.
Members of Congress have been calling for a ban on buying and selling their own stocks, and various legislative proposals have been introduced in recent years for this purpose.
