The famous economist Mahfi Eğilmez stated in his recent assessments that inflation could rise to 27-28 percent by the end of the year. His views presented through the CNBC-e channel contain significant predictions affecting fiscal stability.

Eğilmez noted that Turkey's household inflation expectations have decreased to 52.2 percent, while still emphasizing that pessimism about the overall situation persists. "Households reflect the economic reality they experience," said Eğilmez, highlighting that property owners are not affected by rent increases, but the fact that food prices are above the general averages could create more negative effects.

Additionally, Eğilmez pointed out that the household inflation expectation is lower compared to the general public, while forecasting that dealer inflation and price signals from sectors will affect future inflation rates.

Especially, we observe that many families, more affected in food shopping, are trying to increase their income by working part-time jobs. In this regard, Eğilmez expressed the need to carefully monitor consumer behaviors to understand how inflation's impact is felt in household expenditures.

The response of Eğilmez's forecasts in the markets remains a matter of curiosity. As the year comes to a close, economic experts and investors will likely reconsider their strategies based on these predictions. Thus, the dynamic relationships between households and the real sector seem poised to contribute to more robust analyses and strategy development regarding inflation.
