Lloyds Bank has completed the UK's first purchase of a tokenized gilt.

Tokenized Gilt Purchase from Lloyds Bank

Lloyds Bank has issued tokenized deposits on the Canton platform. Lloyds Bank Corporate Markets used these deposits to purchase a tokenized government bond (gilt) from Archax. After the transaction, Archax transferred the underlying funds back to the regular Lloyds account.
