


The Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA) reported in its weekly bulletin that the total credit volume of the banking sector increased from 21 trillion 843 billion 945 million lira to 22 trillion 81 billion 194 million lira in the week of November 28. During this period, a horizontal trend was observed in credit growth.
The annualized and foreign exchange-adjusted growth rates for the past 13 weeks are recorded as 51.2% for commercial loans and 21.7% for consumer loans. These rates indicate that growth continues steadily despite fluctuations in the markets.
During the same period, the total amount of consumer loans increased by 22 billion 31 million lira to 2 trillion 778 billion 939 million lira, while the amount of installment commercial loans rose by 22 billion 263 million lira to 3 trillion 277 billion 596 million lira.
As of November 28, non-performing loans in the banking sector increased by 8 billion 886 million lira compared to the previous week, reaching 557 billion 444 million lira. It is reported that special provisions were set aside for 406 billion 465 million lira of these loans.
During this period, the legal equity of the banking system increased by 32 billion 304 million lira to 4 trillion 839 billion 338 million lira.
