Bayram Ay, the Director of Ordu Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, shared with the public the comprehensive battle efforts against the brown marmorated stink bug. Ay observed that this pest is particularly prevalent in the Çamaş district and emphasized that an important action plan is being implemented in this context.

A comprehensive battle process has been initiated against the brown marmorated stink bug, which threatens agricultural fields in the region, within the framework of the Brown Marmorated Stink Bug Action Plan prepared by the General Directorate of Food and Control. A total of 20,000 traps have been set up, and 4,000 liters of pesticide have been distributed to control the spread of the pest.

Ay stated that an effective combat strategy against the brown marmorated stink bug will be conducted not with a single method, but with multiple methods together. In this context, he expressed that the monitoring of agricultural areas and the implementation of pesticide treatments when necessary should be performed. It is thought that this multifaceted strategy implemented would be more effective in reducing the population of the pest.

The brown marmorated stink bug is a pest that can cause serious damage to many agricultural products such as almonds and walnuts. Therefore, it is of great importance for farmers and producers to be informed about this issue and to take necessary precautions.
