In recent days, Jim Cramer evaluated 14 stocks that caught the attention of investors. NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA) was one of the companies Cramer particularly focused on.
Following the NVIDIA GTC conference held in Washington, Cramer shared important insights regarding the company’s revenue multiples and CEO Jensen Huang’s comments on a $500 billion revenue opportunity. After Huang's statements at the GTC conference, the value of the shares increased, approaching $5 trillion. Cramer pointed out, referring to a report prepared by BofA, that since the launch of ChatGPT, the consensus has risen from 80 cents to $10.
Cramer stated, “If you look at NVIDIA's price earnings ratios, they may seem high at first; however, this can be misleading. Huang deserves credit at this point. Looking at all the companies that spoke at the conference, you will see that he is integrated into every sector. However, the $500 billion order figure he provided makes me think that his statements might be somewhat exaggerated. I believe the real figure could be $100 billion lower.”
Nevertheless, while acknowledging the potential that NVIDIA offers as an investment, he noted that they believe some artificial intelligence stocks promise higher returns and carry limited downside risk.
