Japan plans to accept 1,231,900 qualified workers to fill its labor shortage. According to the state television NHK, the draft of this plan has been prepared by the government and is expected to come into effect by March 2029.
In the first stage of the plan, it is aimed to admit a total of 805,700 qualified workers in 19 fields to Japan. These workers will primarily be employed in sectors such as food production, industrial manufacturing, and maintenance services.
In the second stage, 426,200 individuals will have the opportunity to become qualified personnel through a three-year training program in three areas: construction, industrial production, and food sectors. This will ensure the cultivation of individuals with sufficient expertise and experience.
The government aims to meet labor demands and increase productivity. This significant plan is expected to be submitted for Cabinet approval in January.
