UK to Rapidly Implement Stablecoin Regulations

Bank of England Deputy Governor Sarah Breeden announced that the stablecoin regulations in the UK will come into effect at the same pace as those in the United States. Breeden stated that the regulations will be announced on November 10. The regulations are expected to impose limits on stablecoin pools.

Breeden emphasized the necessity of limiting the amount of stablecoins due to the differences in the mortgage markets between the UK and the US.
