The cryptocurrency exchange KuCoin recorded a total of $1.25 trillion in trading volume in 2025. This corresponds to an average of $114 billion in monthly trading volume, marking the strongest year for the exchange.

This performance led to a historic peak in centralized exchange trading volumes. KuCoin exhibited faster growth than total centralized exchange volumes even during periods of declining market volatility.

Product Diversity and Use Cases

Spot and derivative trading volumes were evenly split, with each surpassing $500 billion throughout the year. This indicates wide-based usage beyond reliance on specific product groups.

Altcoins constituted the majority of trading activity, reinforcing KuCoin's role as a liquidity space beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum. During this process, the trading cycles of the main assets were less active.

Although the overall crypto trading volumes weakened mid-year, KuCoin maintained high base activity. This suggests that user engagement is structurally high, providing continuous user interaction rather than temporary spikes in trading volume.
