IMDb Takes Significant Step Towards New Credit Categories

SEATTLE, November 5, 2025 – IMDb, the world's most popular and trusted source for film, TV, and celebrity information, has taken an important step to provide greater visibility for all professionals in the entertainment industry. There are now 12 new professional credit categories featured on IMDb and IMDbPro name and title pages. Additionally, credits for dubbing translations are now accepted, offering professionals in this area the opportunity to showcase their work internationally.

These enhancements were implemented as a result of consultations with leading industry organizations such as the Choreographers Guild, Colorist Society, I.A.T.S.E. Local 161, I.A.T.S.E. Local 871, National Association of Voice Actors (NAVA), Property Masters Guild, and SAG-AFTRA.

The new credit categories include: Choreography; Color Department; Craft Services; Health and Safety Department; Intimacy Coordination; Legal; Production Department; Production Finance and Accounting; Property Department; Publicity; Puppetry; and Voice Actor - Dubbing. These professionals now have the opportunity to be recognized for their work in a manner that suits their expertise.

Nikki Santoro, CEO of IMDb, stated, "Our goal is to ensure that every profession involved in the production of film and television is equally recognized." Sean Astin, President of SAG-AFTRA, emphasized that such updates create a more inclusive reflection by increasing the visibility of all professional groups in the industry.

The new credit categories make it easier for viewers, industry professionals, and potential employers to connect with professionals in these fields through IMDb and IMDbPro. IMDb has begun distributing existing credits into the new categories, with updates expected to be completed by November 9, Sunday, at 23:59 PST.

Dubbing credits are now accepted in multiple languages, including English, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish, contributing to greater recognition for international content and professionals.

IMDbPro Premium members can choose from approximately 500 expanded options to enhance their visibility. The opportunities provided by IMDb will significantly help professionals in the industry advance their careers.
