The Istanbul Chamber of Industry (ISO) reported that the Turkey Export Climate Index was recorded at 51.7 in September 2023. This value indicates a moderate improvement in the export potential of the Turkish manufacturing sector.
In Germany, the largest export market for the Turkish manufacturing sector, economic activity continued to show an increase for the fourth consecutive month as of September. This situation is viewed as a positive development for Turkish exporters.
Meanwhile, while production continues to rise robustly in the USA, the pace of this growth remained lower compared to August. In some other important markets like the United Kingdom and France, economic activity has declined. Additionally, Russia experienced the most significant production contraction since October 2022.
The growth rate at the country level reached the highest level among the economies monitored in the survey. This situation presents opportunities to enhance potential in the Middle Eastern market.
