The global technology giant IBM has introduced a new platform that will securely manage digital assets. This innovative platform, named IBM Digital Asset Haven, will allow banks, governments, and large corporations to store and manage their digital assets. This development is considered an important step that increases interest in digital assets and tokenized assets.

IBM announced that the new platform will support more than 40 public and private blockchains. This way, users will be able to conduct transactions across different blockchains, store their assets securely, and perform exchange transactions. Additionally, IBM stated that compliance tools will be provided through APIs, and important features such as identity verification and anti-money laundering (AML) controls will also be included on the platform.

The software as a service (SaaS) version of the platform is planned to be made available in the fourth quarter of this year. Furthermore, the scope of the platform is aimed to be expanded in the second quarter of 2026. With financial giants participating in the tokenization race, IBM's move stands out as part of the growing effort of financial institutions to integrate stablecoins and tokenized assets into their operations.

IBM's statement highlights, "As the adoption of tokenized assets and stablecoins increases, financial institutions will also need to transform." In this context, IBM Digital Asset Haven was developed in collaboration with the crypto wallet infrastructure firm Dfns. Dfns has created over 15 million wallets for its institutional clients to date.

The new platform will combine IBM's hardware-based security system with Dfns' custody technology, offering features such as multi-signature mechanisms and programmable access control. Dfns CEO Clarisse Hagège stated that the platform provides a solution that can manage the entire digital asset ecosystem, not just custody. In her statement, she emphasized that the infrastructure must meet traditional financial standards in order for digital assets to be integrated into banking and capital market systems.
