


New Delhi, November 14, 2025 – India's largest economic collaboration meeting, charcha 2025, concluded with three days of dialogue, ideas, and partnerships at the India Habitat Centre. Over 2000 leaders and practitioners from government, market, and civil society came together, taking significant steps towards providing a more sustainable and inclusive welfare for every citizen of India.
Charcha was organized under 29 collaborations to discuss the roadmap towards India's projected Viksit Bharat vision for 2047. Shri Amitabh Kant, G20 Sherpa of the Government of India, stated, “Focusing on improving health outcomes and nutrition standards is critical to creating an employable population.” He also emphasized that all sectors need to actively work towards making India a $30 trillion economy.
Dr. Shamika Ravi, Chief Economic Advisor to the Prime Minister, pointed out the significant difference between education and skills. “Finance is not the issue. The biggest barrier to our growth is a qualified workforce,” he added.
During the three days, over 50+ hours of live programming featured discussions around seven main themes including technology, agriculture, policy, skills, and social entrepreneurship. Contributions from industry leaders like Meta, LinkedIn, and Atal Innovation Mission aimed to develop innovative solutions to contemporary issues.
Jerold Pereira, Managing Director of the*spark forum, stated, “India’s growth will expand not just from starting from scratch but through collaboration.” Such collaborations allow for important connections between government, market, and civil society.
Amit Yadav, Secretary of the Government of India Ministry of Social Justice and Equality, remarked on social justice and equitable growth, stating, “The measure of any society is how it treats its most vulnerable members.”
Kumaresh Pattabiraman, Country Head of LinkedIn India, emphasized that India’s growth depends on the ability of second and third-tier cities to convert opportunities into energy.
Rukmini Banerji, CEO of the Pratham Education Foundation, highlighted the importance of mechanisms in villages by saying, “Changing a nation is a grand goal, but changing our villages is possible.”
The role of technology in inclusivity was discussed in many sessions, with an emphasis on how Artificial Intelligence and digital infrastructure could empower living resources. This gathering expanded its scope further since 2020, providing impact and collaboration.
