The Republic of Turkey's Ministry of Trade has imposed administrative fines totaling 173.3 million lira on 1,423 real estate businesses that caused unfair price increases in real estate listings. This measure aims to prevent irregularities in the real estate sector.
With this application, activities of unlicensed and unregistered real estate agents are encouraged to decrease. Thanks to the Real Estate Monitoring and Supervision System (EİDS), the number of authorized real estate businesses has increased by 26%, rising to 88,572.
The Ministry employs various methods such as public service announcements, promotional documents, information meetings, and press releases to raise awareness of EİDS both within the industry and among citizens.
