One of the leading Turkish engineering and energy companies, Güriş, has made a significant investment in Ukraine. Within the scope of the BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) project, the Ukrenergo has successfully completed the test and evaluation processes for aFRR (Automatic Frequency Restoration Reserve).
In the announcement, it was stated that Güriş has established an energy storage system with a total capacity of 50 MW and 100 MWh within the scope of the aFRR project. As the first phase of the project, a portion of 25 MW / 50 MWh has been put into operation.
Güriş's representative in Ukraine, Loic Lerminiaux, said, "Making such an investment during a time of war requires great dedication. We are proud to have completed the project successfully in these conditions where the electricity infrastructure is extremely important, and to contribute to the region's critical infrastructure with our belief that if there is a desire, there is also a solution."
