Google has announced that it will invest 15 billion dollars in a new artificial intelligence center located in southern India. This investment was announced by Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian and is described as one of the company's largest artificial intelligence center investments outside the United States. The investment is expected to be realized within the next five years.

Project Details

The Human Resources Development Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nara Lokesh, announced that the project's cost has been determined to be 10 billion dollars. According to the Economic Times, the investment will be made by Google’s Indian subsidiary Raiden Infotech. The company is reported to plan to establish three campuses in the city of Visakhapatnam.

State officials aim to continue investing in such projects, planning to significantly increase the region's computing capacity within the next three years.
