Binance has come under fire for a mistake in its pricing system. This error led to a localized crash in the markets, causing forced liquidations and a temporary loss of value for the USDe asset.

Looking at the broader picture, Gold has risen to $4,059.87 with escalating trade tensions between the US and China. Investors are flocking to safe-haven assets while awaiting potential interest rate cuts from the Federal Reserve.

Throughout the weekend, Washington and Beijing continued efforts to ease trade tensions, and these initiatives supported the market recovery. In the crypto markets, major assets received increased investment after a $20 billion leverage liquidation event. Solana gained 11%, Bittensor surged 28%, and Cronos also rose by 11%.

Jonathan Man from Bitwise pointed out that the primary reason for this situation is positioning, emphasizing that losses become deeper when liquidity disappears.

On the Ethereum network, 30% of the supply is locked in validators, with only a quarter circulating as liquid staking derivatives. This structure helped slow the decline by preventing panic from escalating.

Binance has made various statements regarding the events. One key message was that a series of service interruptions had occurred, and there were temporary liquidations on some products. However, they emphasized that these issues arose after the broader market decline. Binance announced that over $280 million in compensation would be paid to affected users.

The markets are now entering a more measured recovery process after Friday's significant crash. Especially, the assets that experienced the most significant drops are leading the recovery process.
