President of the Confederation of Turkish Tradesmen and Craftsmen (TESK) Bendevi Palandöken called for the restructuring of public receivables. Palandöken stated, "A comprehensive restructuring will be a breath of fresh air for tradesmen," drawing attention to the difficulties faced by tradesmen.
Palandöken expressed in a written statement that it is essential to provide a restructuring for the collection of public receivables before the new year. Reminding that a similar application was carried out in 2023, he said, "Within the scope of this restructuring, everyone has restructured a certain portion of their debts."
Palandöken emphasized that tradesmen and craftsmen aim to enter the year 2026 debt-free, stating:
"A comprehensive restructuring will provide a significant breath of fresh air for tradesmen. This idle money will be reintegrated into the economy. This restructuring is a necessity. Everyone wants to enter the year 2026 debt-free and is looking forward to making a fresh start. We are having difficulty obtaining loans from banks to sustain our commercial activities. This situation is not injustice; it is merely an arrangement to make debts more manageable. If such a restructuring is implemented, the state can obtain significant revenue; citizens can, however, free themselves from these burdens with the economic recovery in the upcoming period."
