President and AK Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced during his speech at the AK Party Economic Affairs Presidency Training Program that they will initiate a process for affordable rentals to counteract the rising rental prices.

Erdoğan stated that an important step will be taken regarding high rental and housing prices, expressing that 500 thousand social homes will be constructed through TOKİ. He pointed out that this project aims to alleviate the rental burden, particularly for low-income families.

The Role of the State is Increasing

Erdoğan noted that the state will take charge of the planning process in the rental system, saying, "We will rent a portion of the social houses to our citizens under favorable conditions. This way, our low-income families will be able to breathe a sigh of relief."
