President and AK Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made important statements at his party's TBMM Group Meeting. Providing information on Turkey’s reconstruction process after the earthquake, Erdoğan announced that priority state supports will be offered to citizens affected in 11 provinces by the earthquake that occurred in Kahramanmaraş.
Erdoğan announced that the 455,000 disaster houses being constructed will have all their infrastructure costs covered by the state, and that a 50% discount will be applied to housing prices. He emphasized that 65% of the housing prices will be covered by the state.
After his visits to Saudi Arabia and Egypt last week, Erdoğan shared important developments. He announced that Saudi companies will establish a total of 5,000 megawatts of solar and wind power plants in Turkey.
In the first phase, it is planned to set up 1,000 megawatt solar power plants in Sivas and Karaman. Erdoğan noted that these projects are of great significance for Turkey's renewable energy targets. These projects aim to meet the electricity needs of a total of 2.1 million households and symbolize a strategic cooperation in the energy sector.
Stating that the 12 different agreements made with Saudi Arabia in the energy sector are just the beginning, Erdoğan emphasized that the role of renewable energy resources in Turkey's energy independence will continue to grow.
