757 Million Euro Loan from the World Bank for Turkey

The World Bank has allocated a loan worth 757.1 million Euros to modernize Turkey's irrigation infrastructure. With this significant project, it is aimed to increase the agricultural productivity of our country and strengthen food supply security.

The financing will be used within the framework of the Irrigation Modernization-2 Project, which will be carried out by the State Hydraulic Works (DSI). The project aims to renew the existing irrigation system and use water resources more efficiently. Thus, especially during challenging periods such as droughts, irrigation needs will be met, and sustainability in agriculture will be enhanced.

This new financing by the World Bank raises the total support for irrigation projects in our country to 1 billion Euros, providing a significant contribution to our agricultural sector.
