DraftKings has introduced an application that allows users to trade on real-world outcomes, which has been approved under the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) regulations valid in 38 states across the U.S.
This move positions DraftKings directly in competition with rivals such as Polymarket, which focuses on crypto-centered prediction markets, as well as other alternatives like Kalshi and Robinhood.
Prediction markets have become one of the biggest financial trends of this year. This rise is supported by regulatory clarity and increasing demand for real-time speculation.
