


In recent days, an important step has been taken aimed at increasing family support. The Minister of Family and Social Services, Göktaş, announced that the birth assistance payments have been updated within the scope of the 2025 Family Year, determined by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. With this new regulation, it has been announced that a one-time assistance of 5,000 lira will be provided for the first child born from January 1, 2025.
For the second child, families will receive a monthly support of 1,500 lira. For the third and subsequent children, families will receive a monthly assistance of 5,000 lira, thus providing a significant support to alleviate the economic burden of family life. Göktaş, who made this announcement to the public, emphasized that birth assistance is one of the important supports provided to families.
Especially the October birth assistance payments have been deposited into the accounts of mothers as of today. Göktaş stated that a total of 558,360 mothers benefited from birth assistance during this process, indicating that the total amount of payments made by the ministry in this area is 5.86 billion lira.
Minister Göktaş pointed out that these figures are a result of efforts to promote family formation and strengthen healthy, conscious families through sustainable support mechanisms. Indicating the importance of the policies carried out to protect the family structure with such aids, Göktaş wished that “the payments be beneficial for all our families.”
One of the aims of the 2025 Family Year is to increase solidarity within families and raise the welfare level of families. In this context, it is believed that the positive effects of the regulations made will be felt quickly in society. Thus, it is aimed that families will achieve a more robust economic structure with the support provided by the state.
