David Beckham-backed Prenetics raised funds for Bitcoin.

Health technology company Prenetics, supported by David Beckham, has made headlines in the cryptocurrency world by successfully completing a funding round worth 48 million dollars to strengthen its Bitcoin (BTC) treasury strategy and accelerate its health-focused growth plans. Based in Hong Kong, Prenetics aims to use the funds from this investment to globally expand its wellness brand IM8 and increase its presence in the digital assets space.

According to the announcement made on Monday, the company's total revenue is expected to reach 216 million dollars. This high figure will also be contributed to by the utilization of warrant rights. The participation of significant names such as Kraken, Exodus, GPTX, and American Ventures in the funding round boosts confidence in Prenetics' projects and strategies.

Prenetics CEO Danny Yeung emphasized that the funds obtained will support the growth of the IM8 brand and allow the company to maintain its goal of accumulating 1 Bitcoin per day. Yeung also stated that they aim to achieve 1 billion dollars in revenue and 1 billion dollars worth of Bitcoin assets within the next five years. The company became one of the pioneers in the healthcare sector holding digital assets with its first Bitcoin purchase in June of this year. Currently, Prenetics has a Bitcoin balance of 268.4 BTC (approximately 30.9 million dollars).

However, on Monday, Prenetics shares (PRE) declined by about 15%, trading at 13.80 dollars. Despite this, analysts emphasize that with the growth of the IM8 brand and an effective Bitcoin strategy, the company could secure a significant position in the long term.
