The Competition Authority has initiated an important investigation against Dassault Systemes. In the statement on its official website, the Authority emphasized that the findings obtained from the preliminary investigation are serious, and has decided to examine the company's dealership system practices in detail.
In the continuation of the statement, it was noted that an official investigation has been opened based on the preliminary investigation concerning the economic entities of the company, including Dassault Systemes SE, Dassault Systemes International SAS, Dassault Systemes SolidWorks Corporation, and Dassault Systemes Istanbul Innovation Technology Ltd. Co..
The investigation will examine the potential violation of the Law on the Protection of Competition based on two main allegations. Firstly, it is claimed that the company interfered with the sales prices of its dealers, hindering the formation of free prices. Secondly, it will focus on the suspicion that restrictions were placed on the customers or regions to which dealers could sell.
With this decision, the Competition Authority has formally initiated the investigation process regarding Dassault Systemes and its affiliated companies. By the end of the investigation, it will be clarified whether the stated practices violate competition.
Furthermore, the investigation decisions taken by the Authority do not imply that the relevant undertakings have violated the law or will face penalties.
