President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan emphasized Turkey's determination to combat climate change in his speech at the United Nations (UN) Climate Summit.
Erdoğan expressed his efforts to promote low carbon technologies in the industrial sector and said, "We increased the share of renewable energy in total installed capacity to over 60%. We are strengthening the infrastructure for electric vehicle production and prioritizing railway investments."
Erdoğan stated that they will continue to transform key sectors in line with the net zero emission target by 2053. He also added that they hope to crown these efforts with the international conference they aim to host in 2026.
