President Erdogan Holds Critical Meeting with US Leaders

President Rep Tayyip Erdoğan held an important meeting in New York on the occasion of the 80th General Assembly of the United Nations. The meeting brought together the President of the Turkey-US Business Council Hamdi Ulukaya, members of the council and a number of senior executives from US companies. The meeting was part of Turkey's efforts to strengthen international economic cooperation.

At the meeting, Erdoğan was joined by Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar, Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek, Minister of Health Kemal Memişoğlu, Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Minister of Trade Omer Bolat, Presidential Communications Director Burhanettin Duran, Presidential Chief of Staff Hasan Doğan, Presidential Head of Defense Industry Haluk Görgün, and Ambassador Akif Çağatay Kılıç, Chief Advisor to the President on Foreign Policy and Security.

The focus of the meetings was on deepening trade relations between Turkey and the United States, increasing cooperation in the energy sector and developing joint projects in the health sector. In this context, Ulukaya shared information on the investment potential of US companies in Turkey and made proposals to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries.

This critical meeting is a reflection of the Erdoğan administration's open door policy towards international investors. US executives were able to take a closer look at Turkey's opportunities and potential. In the process, strategic sectors such as energy, health and industry are expected to come to the fore. In particular, Turkey's transportation infrastructure and digital transformation projects continue to attract investors.
