Coinbase and Chainlink Introduced the Base-Solana Bridge.

Coinbase's Layer 2 network Base has activated a new bridge to the Solana blockchain on the mainnet. This bridge allows for the transfer of assets between the two ecosystems.

The bridge is secured by Chainlink's Cross-Chain Compatibility Protocol. Users can trade and interact with Solana-based tokens on Base-based decentralized applications.

Additionally, the open-source bridge enables developers to integrate cross-chain support on GitHub. This development is considered an important step towards connected blockchains and continuously operational financial markets. More chains are expected to connect in the future.
