Coinbase is Acquiring the Solana-based DEX Vector

Coinbase is acquiring Vector, an online trading platform based on Solana. With this acquisition, the Vector team will be integrated into Coinbase's consumer trading unit. At the same time, there are plans to discontinue independent applications.

This deal marks Coinbase's ninth acquisition in 2025. Significant previous acquisitions include $375 million for Echo and $2.9 billion for Deribit.

The addition of Vector comes as this year’s Solana DEX transaction volume exceeds $1 trillion. This development supports Coinbase's goal of creating an "all-in-one exchange" with faster token access and improved trading capabilities.
