CFTC Chair Change and Transition to MoonPay

Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) Acting Chair Caroline Pham has once again confirmed that she will take a position at the cryptocurrency firm MoonPay following the Senate's approval and swearing-in ceremony of her successor. The Senate is expected to vote on Mike Selig, who was nominated by Donald Trump for the CFTC chairmanship. The vote is scheduled to take place on Wednesday evening according to the Senate's timetable.

Mike Selig is currently serving as an official at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Selig will join the CFTC at a time when many of the cryptocurrency initiatives launched by Pham will have already been implemented.
