According to a decree published in the Official Gazette, Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz is preparing to assume the duties of the presidency. This decision was made due to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's official visit to the Azerbaijan Republic on October 7.
According to the decree, during Erdoğan's program in Azerbaijan, Yılmaz will assume the presidential duties in accordance with Article 106 of the Constitution of the Republic of Turkey.
