U.S. stock futures remained flat on Tuesday evening as investors awaited the Federal Reserve’s policy decision. Futures linked to the Dow Jones Industrial Average (YM=F), S&P 500 (ES=F), and Nasdaq 100 (NQ=F) traded quietly after all major indices reached record levels.

The S&P 500 (^GSPC) climbed 0.2%, surpassing the 6,900 level for the first time, while the Dow Jones (^DJI) rose 0.3%, and the Nasdaq Composite (^IXIC) led the gains with an increase of 0.8%.

This week, tech giants are dominating market sentiment. Nvidia (NVDA) reached record levels, closing the day with a 1.3% increase. The chipmaker announced several significant partnerships with companies including the U.S. government, Uber (UBER), Eli Lilly (LLY), and Oracle (ORCL), making multiple key announcements daily. Additionally, it revealed telecom agreements with Cisco (CSCO) and T-Mobile (TMUS) for 6G wireless network developments.

As markets await the Fed decision due on Wednesday, the central bank is expected to cut interest rates by 0.25%. Investors will closely monitor Chairman Jerome Powell for clues on the pace of further expansion.

Meanwhile, easing trade tensions between Washington and Beijing provided slight support to stocks. Investors will be observing President Trump’s upcoming visit to Korea, where he is expected to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Earnings from the companies known as the “Magnificent Seven” are highly anticipated. Alphabet (GOOG), Meta Platforms (META), and Microsoft (MSFT) are set to release their reports after the market close on Wednesday. Following that, Apple (AAPL) and Amazon (AMZN) will announce their results on Thursday. Analysts are said to expect a renewed increase in large data center spending; however, any disappointments could have negative effects on the broader markets.
