A Busy Week at Borsa İstanbul


Borsa İstanbul closed the week of October 20-24, 2025, with an impressive increase of 7.18 percent at 10,941.79 points. During this week, the index fluctuated between 10,109.02 and 11,158.05 points. The Turkish Central Bank’s (TCMB) interest rate cuts, developments regarding the balance sheet period, and the decrease in political uncertainties were among the main factors driving market activity.

Top Gaining Stocks of the Week


The biggest gain was recorded by Türkiye Sigorta (TURSG), with its shares increasing by 26.83 percent, attracting attention. This success was followed by Trabzonspor (TSPOR) and İş Bankası (ISCTR). Trabzonspor’s shares rose by 16.95 percent, while İş Bankası’s stocks saw a rise of 16.84 percent.

Top Losing Stocks of the Week


On the other hand, the stocks that lost value were led by Grainturk Holding (GRTHO), which experienced the largest decline at 22.95 percent. Additionally, Eczacıbaşı İlaç (ECILC) saw a decrease of 9.70 percent, while Gen İlaç (GENIL) decreased by 7.14 percent.

Market Values and Trading Volume


In terms of market value, ASELSAN (ASELS) maintained its leading position with a total value of 929 billion 784 million TL. Garanti BBVA (GARAN) followed in second place with 552 billion 720 million TL, and Enka İnşaat (ENKAI) came next with 453 billion TL. The total weekly trading volume reached an impressive figure of 803 billion 970 million TL.

Most Traded Stocks


The most traded stock during the week was Turkish Airlines (THYAO), with total transactions amounting to 73 billion 393 million TL. This was followed by Akbank (AKBNK) with 58 billion 938 million TL and İş Bankası (ISCTR) with 48 billion 90 million TL.
