BIST 100 Index Hits Record in Borsa Istanbul!

Borsa İstanbul Started the Day Positively

Today, Borsa İstanbul opened with a 0.33% increase at 13,150 points. During the day, the BIST 100 index showed an increase of over 2%, setting a historical record.

BIST 100 Index Approached the 13,400 Barrier

The index reached 13,335 points at 11:39. The previous day, however, it closed with a 0.53% loss at 13,106.99 points after a bearish trend.

Different Trends in Sector Indices

At the opening, the BIST 100 index increased by 43.14 points, rising to 13,150.12 points compared to the previous close. The banking index experienced a slight 0.02% loss, while the holding index gained 0.46%.

Among sector indices, the highest gain was seen in the stone and soil sector, with an increase of 1.79%. On the other hand, the greatest loss was in the securities investment partnerships, which fell by 0.23%.

Optimism Continues in Global Markets

Despite geopolitical and political uncertainties in global markets, optimism regarding the technology sector continues to boost investors' risk appetite. The decisions on monetary policy that the U.S. Federal Reserve (Fed) will make this evening are drawing investors' attention. Today's positive trend in global markets has positively impacted domestic markets as well.
