Bank of Montreal Introduced New CDRs

Bank of Montreal (BMO) announced that it has started trading 5 new Canadian Deposit Receipt (CDR) which provide investors access to shares of foreign companies on the Cboe Canada exchange platform. The initial offering of these new CDRs has been completed, and trading began today.

The trading codes for BMO's new CDRs are as follows:

  • Berkshire Hathaway Inc. - Class B Common Stock: ZBRK (USA)
  • Meta Platforms, Inc. - Class A Common Stock: ZMET (USA)
  • Palantir Technologies Inc. - Class A Common Stock: ZPLT (USA)
  • The Walt Disney Company - Common Stock: ZDIS (USA)
  • UnitedHealth Group Incorporated - Common Stock: ZUNH (USA)

These new CDRs not only provide Canadian investors with portfolio diversification but also offer access to international markets. However, it is important to note that investments in CDRs issued by BMO may not be suitable for every investor.

Additionally, each series of CDR corresponds to a class of shares belonging to an issuer outside Canada (Underlying Shares). Investors can visit www.sedarplus.ca and www.bmogam.com for detailed information and prospectuses of the CDRs.
