It has been revealed that 77% of Bitcoin holders have not tried BTCFi. The Ethereum Fusaka update successfully completed a test on the Holesky testnet. DoubleZero's main network has gone live, and Bee Maps has raised $32 million in investment.

Low Interest in Bitcoin DeFi: Survey Results

Bitcoin decentralized finance (DeFi) sector, known as BTCFi, is emerging as an important innovation for the future of the world's largest cryptocurrency. However, studies show that Bitcoin holders are using these platforms less frequently. According to a survey conducted by GoMining with over 700 participants from North America and Europe, 77% of Bitcoin holders have never tried a BTCFi platform. Only 10% of respondents reported that they tried it only once or twice, while just 8% actively use BTCFi services.

This situation reveals a significant gap between the potential in the industry and the actual participation of users. GoMining CEO Mark Zalan stated, "There is a great appetite for these opportunities, but the industry has developed products aimed at crypto natives rather than everyday Bitcoin holders." Survey results show that 73% of respondents expressed a willingness to earn income through lending or staking their Bitcoins, while 42% seek access to liquidity without selling. However, more than 40% of respondents indicate a preference for allocating less than 20% of their assets to BTCFi products, highlighting a lack of trust and complexity within the sector.

Ethereum Fusaka Upgrade in Testing Phase

The next upgrade of the Ethereum network, Fusaka, has taken a step closer to a live transition to the main blockchain with a successful trial conducted on the Holesky test network. The Fusaka hard fork comes just a few months after Ethereum's previous significant Pectra update. The upgrade aims to reduce costs for institutions using Ethereum.

Among the changes is the *PeerDAS* feature, which allows validators to verify only a portion of the necessary data rather than all of it. This feature helps reduce costs for both second-layer networks and validators. Test networks like Holesky are critical for developers to safely test new codes before they integrate with the actual chain.

DoubleZero Main Network Launched

DoubleZero Foundation has announced the release of the long-awaited main network beta version. DoubleZero focuses on enabling faster communication between blockchains by creating "fast lanes" within these networks. In situations where normal internet connections can be slow and unpredictable, Solana validators can now communicate more quickly via DoubleZero's fiber pathways. This configuration improves user experience by shortening transaction times. Currently, 22% of staked SOL is included in the DoubleZero network.

Bee Maps Raises 32 Million Dollars

Bee Maps, a decentralized mapping project supported by Hivemapper, has raised 32 million dollars in a new funding round aimed at expanding its global contributor network and scaling its infrastructure. This round is backed by significant investors such as Pantera Capital, LDA Capital, Borderless Capital, and Ajna Capital. Bee Maps is an application operating on the Hivemapper network, helping drivers detect real-time road changes by collecting data with AI-supported cameras.

The data collected ensures rapid updates to the maps. This new capital will be used for further device distribution, developing AI models that process and update map features, and incentivizing contributors.
