Galaxy Digital expert Alex Thorn stated that when adjusted for inflation, Bitcoin's price, which peaked above $126,000 in October, did not surpass the $100,000 barrier. Thorn noted that this year's Bitcoin peak, when calculated in 2020 dollars, was $99,848, emphasizing that nominal price comparisons can be misleading.
Highlighting that inflation in the U.S. is expected to rise by approximately 24% from 2020 to 2025, Thorn remarked that this complicates long-term price analyses. He asserts that, in addition to Bitcoin's nominal value, its inflation-adjusted price provides a more realistic assessment.
