The index, which saw the lowest 11,447.19 points during the day and the highest at 11,519.64 points, registered an increase of 105.47 points compared to the previous close. The value of the index in dollar terms was calculated at $279.99.
Of the 100 total stocks in the BIST 100 index, 78 ended the day gaining in value, while 19 stocks lost value. The remaining 3 stocks closed the day flat. The total trading volume of the shares included in the index amounted to 142,833,107 thousand TL. This volume accounted for 63.95% of the total trading volume on Borsa Istanbul.
Of the 65 indices calculated on a sectoral and national basis on the stock exchange, 61 finished the day up, while only 4 indexes lost value. The sector index that gained the most value was the BIST Adana index, with an increase of 9.18%. With this performance, he provided his investor with the highest return of the day.
On the other hand, the index that lost the most value was the BIST Denizli index, which suffered a decrease of 3.08%. Thus, there was a noticeable difference in performance between the two indices. Overall, the day ended with positive pricing and high trading volume on the Stock Exchange Istanbul.

On the domestic currency market, the dollar/TL rate was trading at the level of 0.10% in the morning, up 41 percent. Euro/TL stood at 47.69 on a dry horizontal course, while the gram of gold found buyers at 4.445 TL, up 0.20%.
In overseas markets, Asian indices finished the day on the upside. In Asia, Japan's Nikkei index was the index that lost the most, falling 1.1%. European stock markets also started the day heavily selling. After the opening, the Stoxx Europe 600 index fell 0.7 percent; in Germany the DAX 30 index lost 0.7 percent; in the UK the FTSE 100 index lost 0.7 percent; in France the CAC 40 index lost 1.4 percent and in Spain the IBEX 35 index lost 0.8 percent.
US futures also moved to the downside in the morning, while risk appetite in global markets was noticeably reduced.
