Binance's investment arm YZi Labs has a $1 billion fund for BNB.

Recently, Binance announced the launch of a new “Builder Fund” worth $1 billion to support innovations on the BNB Chain. This fund aims to provide capital and technical support to projects in notable areas such as decentralized finance (DeFi), artificial intelligence, real-world assets (RWA), and the tokenization of scientific research (DeSci).

Formerly known as Binance Labs, YZi Labs, which was established to offer new opportunities to developers and founders within the BNB ecosystem, will provide funding to BNB Chain projects, as well as build technical tools and grant access to a global network with 460 million users. The company's strategy focuses on leveraging these opportunities to make Web3 accessible and integrating artificial intelligence in a way that enhances human potential.

The announcement of the fund coincides with a new era for the BNB Chain, which has been exhibiting significant growth indicators. The network has achieved daily records of 26 million transactions and is ranked for the highest decentralized exchange (DEX) volume in the world. Additionally, the Maxwell hardfork update in May led to a reduction in block times to as low as 0.75 seconds and transaction fees dropping to around 0.05 Gwei, which are among the factors that have increased investor interest.

In the new era, YZi Labs will integrate the most valuable developers (Most Valuable Builder-MVB) into its EASY Residency structure starting from October 2025. Developers within the BNB ecosystem can receive funding of up to $500,000 and an opportunity to collaborate with YZi Labs and the BNB Chain core team.

YZi Labs President Ella Zhang stated, “The BNB ecosystem represents the next stage of digital infrastructure. With this fund, we will support projects that will combine technology with human advancement in various fields, from DeFi to artificial intelligence.”

Managing over $10 billion in assets, YZi Labs has more than 300 projects. The company has successfully increased its impact within the BNB ecosystem by investing in significant projects such as PancakeSwap, ListaDAO, Aster, and Aspecta.
