Binance to List New Altcoin LIGHT on September 27

Binance, one of the world's largest cryptocurrency exchanges, made an important announcement for a new altcoin, Bitlight (LIGHT). Binance aims to provide investors with different trading options by offering this altcoin with two separate listings on both the Alpha platform and Binance Futures. The new opportunities are especially noteworthy given the recent surge in user interest.

Users will be able to start trading the LIGHT token on the Binance Alpha platform on September 27, 2025 at 14:00. This listing will give traders easy access to the LIGHT token, allowing them to capitalize on market activity.

The LIGHTUSDT Futures Contract on the Binance Futures platform also offers notable features. Users will be able to start trading LIGHTUSDT futures on September 27, 2025 at 14:30. This contract offers the opportunity to trade with a maximum leverage of up to 50 times. The funding rate is set at +2.00% / -2.00%. Funding fees will be charged to accounts every 4 hours.

Binance also announced that leverage ratios, initial and maintenance margin requirements, and funding fees may change depending on market conditions. To enable users to trade more efficiently, Binance Futures also supports Multi-Assets Mode. This allows traders to trade the LIGHTUSDT contract using different cryptocurrencies as margin. It will be open 24/7 and will also be supported by Futures Copy Trading.

With these new developments, Binance will offer users trading diversity on both the Alpha and futures side for Bitcoin and Bitlight (LIGHT), which is built on the Lightning Network infrastructure.
