Bayraktar, during his visit to the Bayburt Agricultural Chamber President Abuzer Yıldırımtepe, addressed the negative effects of agricultural crises occurring in various provinces of Turkey. He emphasized the issues faced by farmers particularly affected by frost and drought, stating that this situation threatens the sustainability of the agricultural sector.
Bayraktar highlighted in the meetings that producers suffering greatly due to drought should also be included in the support scope, and he noted that an urgent solution proposal has been presented regarding this matter. He stressed that a support package should be created as soon as possible to compensate for the damages incurred by farmers, who hold a significant place in Turkey’s agricultural production.
As Bayraktar pointed out, the issues faced by farmers affected by frost, compounded by the drought period, seriously reduce agricultural production capacity. Particularly, the adverse effects experienced in certain regions threaten both the livelihoods of farmers and have negative impacts on the national economy.
Among the farmers’ demands are the rapid provision of support to affected producers and the necessary investments to restore the lands to their previous productive states. While Bayraktar emphasizes that the government and relevant organizations must act quickly in this regard, he underscored that the support requested by farmers would increase productivity in agriculture.
In conclusion, Bayraktar’s visit aims to bring the challenges faced by farmers to the agenda on a broader platform. The necessity of preparing a support package for producers is of great importance for Turkey's agricultural sustainability. It is stated that the works to be undertaken for the recovery of the trees, flowers, and crops damaged by drought and frost are of vital importance. Farmers expect the support package to be implemented as soon as possible.
