Under the leadership of the Ministry of Commerce, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), and the Central Anatolia Exporters' Associations collaborated to organize the Ankara e-Export Summit, which started with great participation at TOBB Conference Hall. During this significant event, Minister of Commerce Bolat took the stage with announcements that will increase the international competitiveness of the Turkish economy.
In his speech, Minister Bolat emphasized that they are maintaining reasonable figures in the current account deficit. In this context, he stated that they expect a current account surplus of 1 billion dollars in September and 500 million dollars in October. Noting that a current account surplus would be achieved for four consecutive months, Bolat expressed that this situation would enhance confidence in the country's economy and its export potential.
One of the key points of Minister Bolat's speech was the 500 million TL credit package launched especially for e-exporters. He conveyed that this credit package aims to enhance the competitiveness of Turkish products in global markets through financial support provided to businesses engaged in e-export, highlighting that this support for e-exporters is critical for ensuring sustainable growth and innovation.
These steps, vital for the country's economy, will contribute to the digitalization of trade and allow Turkish engineering products to reach a broader audience in the international arena. Minister Bolat stated that the goals for developing e-export will be continuously updated and that the supports provided in this area will be expanded. Additionally, the speeches and presentations held during the event aim to enhance the competencies of Turkish entrepreneurs in the e-export sector.
Another significant aspect of the Ankara e-Export Summit was the organization of various sessions and panels designed to help entrepreneurs develop themselves and find positions in international markets. Participants will have the opportunity to follow developments in the industry and update their business strategies.
