Today, the Advisory Board meeting held at the Ministry of Labor and Social Security has concluded. In this meeting, it was decided that the Commission to determine the minimum wage for the year 2026 will consist of 15 members.
During the meeting, Director General of Labor Mehmet Baş presided, and Turkish Employment and Social Security Agency (Türk-İş) Deputy General President Ramazan Ağar, TISK General Secretary Akansel Koç, and representatives from Hak-İş and DİSK also attended. The parties discussed the representation balance of the commission and decision-making processes.
Meanwhile, Türk-İş General President Ergün Atalay and Hak-İş General President Mahmut Arslan stated that they do not find the current Minimum Wage Determination Commission fair and announced that they will not participate in the meetings.
