Ministry of Labor and Social Security will reconvene the Tripartite Advisory Committee on October 21 to address the issue of minimum wage. Following the meeting held on October 9, the parties will discuss important topics ahead of the minimum wage negotiations in December.
TÜRK-İŞ General President Ergün Atalay stated on December 25, 2024, "We have been in an unfair committee for 50 years. As long as a fair regulation is not made, we will not participate in this committee as TÜRK-İŞ."
HAK-İŞ General President Mahmut Arslan emphasized on October 27, 2025, that the structure of the Minimum Wage Determination Commission needs to change, saying, "We discussed again with TÜRK-İŞ, and they stated that they would not participate. We also communicated that we would not participate." highlighting a unity in communication between the unions.
The Minimum Wage Determination Commission consists of a total of 15 members, with five representatives each from worker, employer, and government sectors. The commission meets on specific dates in December to conduct new minimum wage studies. The commissions are presided over by one of the members designated by the Ministry, require participation from at least 10 members, and make decisions by majority vote. In case of a tie, the side of the president is accepted as having the majority.

The total cost to the employer is calculated as 30,621.48 lira; of this, 26,005.50 lira is gross minimum wage, 4,095.87 lira is social security premium, and 520.11 lira goes to the employer's unemployment insurance fund.
