Arm Establishes New Unit in the Robotics Sector

Arm has undergone a significant transformation by establishing a new unit called “Physical Artificial Intelligence” to strengthen its presence in the robotics market. With this new unit, the company will operate in three main business areas: Cloud and Artificial Intelligence, Edge including mobile devices and PC products, and Physical Artificial Intelligence, which also encompasses the automotive business unit.

Long-Term Growth Potential

In statements made at CES 2026, Arm executives emphasized that the robotics field has significant long-term growth potential. The leader of the new unit, Drew Henry, indicated that physical artificial intelligence solutions could fundamentally transform the workforce, saving people time and having a substantial impact on gross domestic product.

Special Teams and Collaborations

Arm’s Marketing Director, Ami Badani, announced that special teams will be formed in the robotics field. Additionally, the reason for gathering the automotive and robotics units under one roof is the similarity of customer expectations in both areas. It was noted that factors such as power consumption, safety, and reliability are critical for both fields.

Applications in the Industry

Arm-based chips are used by many automotive manufacturers worldwide and robotics companies like Boston Dynamics. Particularly, the next-generation Atlas humanoid robot introduced at CES was showcased by Boston Dynamics, which is owned by Hyundai. Plans have been announced for these robots to be used in factories in the U.S. starting in 2028.

Arm’s new structuring in the robotics market will increase interest in the sector and present attractive opportunities for investors.
