Apple has increased the reward for reporting advanced paid spyware attacks from 1 million dollars to 2 million dollars. Additionally, the maximum amount for discovering critical security vulnerabilities in beta software and bypassing the Lock Mode has been set at 5 million dollars.
The reward amount for exploit chains requiring a single click user interaction has increased from 250 thousand dollars to 1 million dollars, while the reward for attacks requiring physical proximity has risen to 1 million dollars. The maximum reward for attacks requiring physical access to locked devices has also been increased to 500 thousand dollars.
Ivan Krstic, Vice President of Security Engineering and Architecture at Apple, stated that since the program's inception, they have awarded more than 35 million dollars to over 800 security researchers. This initiative aims to further enhance the security of Apple users.
