Apple has acquired the exclusive broadcasting rights for all Formula 1 races to be held in the USA starting in 2024. In line with this agreement, the races will be broadcasted through Apple TV.
Apple TV will provide its subscribers with live access to practice sessions, qualifying rounds, sprint races, and the full Grand Prix events. Additionally, certain races and all practice sessions will be available to watch for free throughout the season.
The Formula 1 content, including the F1 TV Premium service, will continue to be accessible to Apple TV subscribers in the USA and will be offered for free exclusively to these subscribers.
Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali indicated that this collaboration is extremely exciting for both Apple and Formula 1, stating, “We will continue to maximize our growth potential in the USA with the right content and innovative distribution channels.”
Eddy Cue, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Services, expressed his joy regarding the partnership, saying, “We are very excited to expand our collaboration with Formula 1. We will provide our subscribers with front-row access to one of the world’s most thrilling and fastest-growing sports.”
