Amazon.com announced its computing cluster project named 'Rainier' last Wednesday. The AI firm Anthropic stated that it will use over a million of this infrastructure's chips by the end of the year.

Amazon had aimed to establish an artificial intelligence computing cluster that would span multiple data centers in the U.S. by starting the 'Rainier' project last year. This computer contains over half a million Trainium2 chips developed by Amazon itself.

With the development of artificial intelligence models, cloud firms like Amazon Web Services are expanding their data center plans to respond to the increasing demand for vast computing capacities.

The Anthropic firm, supported by Amazon, will build and deploy the AI model Claude using the computing cluster of the 'Rainier' project. This company will scale over a million Trainium2 chips within Amazon Web Services by the end of the year.

Additionally, the computing power of the 'Rainier' project's cluster will be utilized in future versions of Claude.
